DESCRIPTION

The WH0802A1 is an 8-character by 2-line LCD display module (8x2 Character LCD Display Module) with a module dimension of 58.0 x 32.0 mm and an active area size of 27.81 x 11.5 mm (1.18" diagonal). It operates with a 5V power supply, compatible with 3V, while the negative voltage is limited to 3V. The 8x2 LCD module comes with a PCB board that includes mounting holes, facilitating easy installation in various applications.

This 8x2 Character LCD Display Module is available with or without LED backlight options and offers various LCD panel colors, including gray, yellow/green, and blue. The WH0802A1 features the ST7066 controller (or equivalent), which supports different language fonts like English/Japanese, English/Western European, English/Eastern European, English/Scandinavian European, English/Cyrillic (Russian), and Hebrew/Arabic.

The WH0802A1 model provides different interfaces, including the default 6800 4/8-bit parallel interface using the ST7066 IC. Additionally, it offers optional SPI and I2C interfaces when using the RW1063 IC.

There are three interface options for the WH0802A1 series:
WH0802A1: 6800 interface (ST7066 IC)
WH0802A2: SPI interface (RW1063 IC)
WH0802A3: I2C interface (RW1063 IC)

This 1.18-inch LCD display module with an 8x2 display format is well-suited for integration into various small-scale measuring instruments and monitoring devices. Its compact size and ability to provide basic numerical and text displays make it ideal for applications such as:

Detectors: It can be utilized in temperature gauges, humidity meters, gas detectors, etc., to display measurement results or status information efficiently.
Angle Measurement Devices: This display can showcase precise angle data in angle measurement tools, enhancing the accuracy of the instrument.
Digital Voice Recorders: Small-sized voice recorders can use this display to show recording time, mode settings, and other essential information.
Mini Timers: Suitable for small-scale timers, this display module can present time and timing results effectively.
Handheld Instruments: The module is well-suited for various handheld measuring devices like electronic rangefinders, handheld temperature and humidity meters, providing users with clear and concise information.
